Stapleford Flight Centre operates from its own airfield in Essex, just inside the M25 on the north-east edge of London. This location gives our students a significant advantage: the opportunity to train in some of the busiest controlled airspace in the world. From the very start of your training, you’ll gain experience managing a busy radio frequency, working with air traffic control, and maintaining awareness of multiple aircraft operating nearby. Developing this level of situational awareness and workload management early on is one of the most valuable skills a professional pilot can have.

A Diverse Training Fleet

Stapleford Flight Centre offers commercial students experience on a wide variety of aircraft types. Our fleet includes the single-engine Tecnam P2008JC and Cessna 152, the retractable-undercarriage Piper Arrow, and the modern multi-engine Diamond DA42 Twin Star. Training on multiple aircraft types allows you to develop a broader understanding of aircraft handling characteristics and performance, preparing you for the transition to professional aviation.
