All aviation gift vouchers are valid for one year from issue and are fully refundable at any time during that 12-month period (after one year the voucher is no longer refundable). Spectators are welcome to watch the take-off and landing. We offer a safe, fenced garden area next to our clubhouse. You will be sent a Flying Presents Gift Voucher which can be personalised by you.
Stapleford Flight Centre is open seven days a week. However, we are extremely busy at weekends and so flights should ideally be booked at least three weeks in advance for these days.
This course covers the learning of the basic aerobatic manoeuvres required to take part in beginners events organised by the British Aerobatic Association (BAeA). The course consists of a minimum of eight hours dual flying with an instructor who is qualified to give aerobatic instruction (Pilots who already have some aerobatic experience may qualify for a reduction in the flying requirements of this course).
The theoretical knowledge section of the course will consist of a minimum of eight hours in the classroom. Four hours of briefings/lectures must be given by a person qualified to instruct in aerobatic flying and the remaining hours may be carried out through self study under supervision. When requesting a clearance into the new Southend CAS, from April 2nd 2015, it would be advisable to quote the CTA number(s) that you want clearance into. Sadly the CTA numbers are not shown on the new 1:500,000 chart and so you will find this chart useful. We strongly suggest that you carry it with you when flying locally to help you ensure you get the clearance you want. Stapleford Flight Centre, one of the UK’s top flight training schools, is leading the field with the acquisition of a brand new “state of the art” ALX Alsim medium jet simulator. This is first in the UK, and one of only five in Europe.
